Approaching dark moon phase bodes well for nocturnal angling. 700 CFS at Mio (vs. 800 avg). Not much info. Call ahead.

Cooler water due to last week's rain and cooler temps. Tricos, BWO's, flying ants, orange sedge, cahills. White flies below Mio. Night bite on.

8/16 -- VERY GOOD

"White Fly hatch started last night in blizzard numbers!" (Streamside). Best dry fly fishing from 8-11pm. Should last at least a week. Water has cooled. Also try terrestrials and isonychia.

Trophy waters too warm to fish, but rain and cool temps should bring it back into play this week. White flies beginning (from Mio to 4001); should intensify with better weather.

Cold front and t-storms have brought water closer to fishable on big waters. Try upper, north and south branch. Tricos, olives, cahills, attractors, terrestrials. Also try night fishing.

Sweltering (but should cool down). Water up to 78 degrees on parts of the river. Best bet is night fishing.

Use "extreme caution when fishing the Trophy Waters stretch" -- heat has pushed water temps above 70, expected to continue. Semi-low and clear. Fish cooler sections and use something colorful.
