Fishing taking a hit from water temps, clarity and algae / aquatic grass (which makes it hard to nymph). Hoppers, tricos, black caddis. 4200 CFS (vs. 2500 avg).

8/25 -- GOOD

Hoppers, sj worms, sowbugs. Black caddis in evenings. 4500 CFS, from 5500 CFS monday. Scheduled for 4000 monday, eventually 3500. Avg is 2300.

8/23 -- FAIR

Moss is putting damper on fishing. Hoppers (best on windy days), tricos, black caddis (yellow sallies and PMD's are over -- Zed's dead, baby). Nymphing slow. Dropped from 5400 to 5000 CFS today (from 6000 thursday).

Down to 5500 CFS from 6700 monday (avg is 2400). No new information in reports.

Flows dropped from 6800 CFS to 6200 CFS monday (from 7200 thursday). Best with hoppers, streamers; caddis at dusk. SJ worms, sowbugs, caddis, tricos.

Down to 6800 (from 8200 monday, vs. 2600 avg), scheduled for 6000 monday. Wadeable now. Caddis, cream mayflies, hoppers. Thick black caddis. SJ worms, sowbugs, caddis pupa.

Down to 8000 CFS. Sowbugs, sj worms, caddis pupa. Streamers, hoppers. Warmer water has slowed fishing, but lowering flows will lower temps (less water will come from the top of the lake).

Flows down to 9000 CFS (from extended 10,000) -- scheduled for 8000 monday/tuesday, then 7000 thursday (avg. is 3000), which is wadeable. This will cool water (since less will come from the reservoir's warm surface). Hoppers, caddis, sowbugs, sj worms, streamers.

10,000 CFS for 5 days after extended 12,000 (8000 expected this week). Hoppers, black caddis (yellow sallies and PMD's have faded).
