weekly highlights from the best fly fishing reports
"Hatches have slowed as they always do at this time on year. Lots of nymphing with midge patterns and beatis patterns with some good dry fly fishing happening during the few cloudy times."
Upper river: "Ideal flows and water conditions. BWO's are still the name of the game and are the most prevalent hatch. Lighter numbers of midges and caddis are being seen as well. The nymph fishing has been solid and consistent all day."
"Caddis are hatching on ther lower Frying Pan river, and the fish are looking up." "The Pan has been fishing very well in the past week since it has been bumped up. This is a very healthy level that keeps the fish from being extremely concentrated like they were a couple of weeks ago."
No new reports, thus downgrade. Flows jumped from 35 CFS to 125 CFS over the last few days.
Middle River: "Dry fly madness! Killer midge and beatis hatches on the reg right now."
