"Anglers have been catching up to half a dozen adults to about 5 pounds and as many more half-pounders and native trout." Sand bar constraining flows at the mouth has been breached. Flows have been declining -- down to 1300 CFS from 1800 a week ago (vs 1900 avg).

"We are starting to see more and more adult fish in the net and fewer smaller steelhead." Cold mornings mean frozen rod guides until around 10:30. "Flows below Irongate Dam dropped...and further concentrated the steelies making them easier to target." Lack of rain = clear and low flows of 1020 (vs 1900 avg).

"Steelheading continued to be very good" near Iron Gate Dam for fish up to 6 pounds. "The Klamath is fishing great! ...downstream to Happy Camp and beyond". 1300 CFS (vs 1800 avg).
