"And as I predicted, the rainy weather brought on the bite [Thursday, nymphing]. We guessed that we hooked over 50 fish today." "The fishing has been fair to good this week." Wadeable at 5000 CFS (vs 6000 avg), but be careful.

Wind gone, flows down to 5000 CFS (vs 6000 avg). "Now is the time if you like to wade. It may not get lower than this all winter." Rubberlegs, birds nests.

"The bite was fair to good.... but not great." "There are a few redds occupied by spawning King Salmon, but don't expect to find many rainbows hovering..." Winds receding, making fishing possible. 7100 CFS (vs 5900 avg).

11/18 -- GOOD

BWO's with cloudy weather. Rubberlegs, birds nests, micromayflies. Or eggs, with some salmon still around -- best lower down (not posse grounds). "Once the winter salmon start showing up then it will be time to head back up to the Posse Grounds." 7200 CFS (vs 5800 avg).

Lots of salmon, not a lot of redds yet -- but use eggs -- plus BWO's and caddis. 7000 CFS for 5 days (after 6000 CFS interlude -- which is avg). Still a tad high for wading. Kiene discussion on Red Bluff area.

Eggs a.m, nymphs afternoon (birds nest, micromayfly, pt nymph, caddis pupa). Increasing salmon, redds. Down to 6000 CFS (which is avg), from 8500 last friday. Scheduled to rise to 7000 10/20.

Flows pulsing between 8750 and 9250 CFS (vs 7600 avg), scheduled for 8200 on 10/3. Salmon pushing rainbows around. Eggs coming soon. Rain next week.
