7/12 -- VERY GOOD
Flows "at summer time low". Some glacial turbidity (which should be minimized by cool weather) can make the fish less cautious. Stones, "prolific" small mayflies, caddis. "The evening hatch has been phenomenal". All quotes from Shasta Trout (below).

Flows normal, and Ted Fay feels they have peaked (read below), but river won't escape the effects of tuesday's rain. Mud creek's namesake will work its way through the reservoir and then below it, muddying the water: "when and how much who knows" (Ted Fay). BWO's, hoppers, deep nymphing, PMD's, caddis, stones.

PG&E to increase flows for days/weeks due to snowmelt (warm weather). But for now, low and clear. Mid-day nymphing sandwiched by dry mayflies. Boulder gone.
