10/26 -- GOOD

10/24: "The creek looked like the dead sea all day yesterday, This morning it was a great hatch of BWO's, Slate Drakes, Small Caddis and the big October Caddis. the fishing over all has been great, you just have to put your time on the water."

10/19 -- GOOD

"Another great BWO hatch along with Caddis. We are going to get some much needed rain tonight, this will only help the creek and the hatches."

10/12 -- EXCELLENT

"Same as the past 5 days massive BWO & Brown Caddis hatches on the lower creek. Also October Caddis are starting to hatch on the lower creek. It wont get any better than this weekend. Olives love cold wet days to hatch.

9/27 -- VERY GOOD

9/24: "The fishing is really good, The leaves will change over the next two weeks. I've see October Caddis, Slate Drakes, Crane flies and lots of caddis on the lower creek. The water was 56 degrees this morning. It's the perfect time to come and catch some wild Brown Trout."

9/20 -- GOOD

"The fishing is good now on the lower end of the creek (Catch and Release area) October Caddis, Slate Drakes, Caddis, Bwo's #16-22."

"The fishing is just starting to get good. After this cool down the fishing should be great. October Caddis, Slate Drakes, Caddis, Bwo's #16-22 I have some dates available for the creek house."

"Water temps are cooling and Penns is now fishable. That said, summer is not over and temps could warm again very quickly. Trout have great difficulty extracting oxygen from the water when the water temperature is over 70 degrees. A trout that is released when the water is this warm will most likely die. Please do not fish Penns Creek when water temperatures reach 70 degrees."

"Penns Creek is getting too warm to fish. Penns is one of the finest trout streams in Pennsylvania, for 10 months of the year. But with so many other colder trout streams in the area, there is no reason to fish Penns Creek in July or August, most years. And this year is not one of the exceptions."

6/29 -- VERY GOOD

"And welcome to Summer. The creek is in really good shape now thanks to all the spring rains. TThe water levels are exactly average for this time of year." "Yesterday was the best day I've had on Penns this year, water 68 at 1pm. I caught fish on Slate Drakes, Cahills, Golden Drake, Craneflies and nymphs. I would expect to see the same for the weekend."

6/21 -- VERY GOOD

"Great fishing the past few days using Sulphurs, Bwo's, Slate Drakes, Craneflies, Caddis, Cahills."

6/15 -- VERY GOOD

"Another great Olive hatch and spinner fall last night, Creek is in great condition and there are lots of other hatches including stoneflies by the thousands, Craneflies by the thousands. This whole week and weekend look great."

6/8 -- GOOD

"691 CFS @ 8AM, Good Color. The fishing should be great this weekend!" "High water will limit the dry fly action. Go under water with caddis larva patterns, stoneflies, and streamers."

6/1 -- FAIR

"Green Drakes still around but spotty, high water will limit the dry fly action."
