"Fishing okay last night at the bottom of the Catch and Release. Rained last night the creek is pretty dark, 1150cfs, 59 degrees The drakes will still come off but you will have to fish the edges and slow pools."
Blown out. "1500 cfs @ 10am, High and Brown. Sometimes the drake fishing can be very good in brown high water."
"The first of the GREEN DRAKES were spotted at the lower end on Sunday, but the heavy water has stopped them for now. I expect the Drakes to really start this weekend with the warmer weather and lower water." "The creek is down to 830cfs @ 10am and should be fishing well by Saturday afternoon on the lower creek. The color of the water wont matter with the drakes, they will rise to these big duns."
"Good news Bad news: Penns got some rain but the creek is pretty brown. It should clear up fast and the weekend looks good"
"Penns Creek has fished very well so far this spring. March Browns, Sulphurs, tan caddis, and crane flies are all apt to get the fish to the surface. March Browns are probably the best of these hatches for the dry fly man."

"Sulphur and caddisfly nymphs are a good thought for subsurface fishing. Fish have been feeding on the surface, eating tan caddis, March Browns, and the few remnant Hendricksons. Unless we get some rain, the spring fishing will quickly fade to summer. Get here soon."
