Lots of salmon moving in and the Fly Shop assumes steelhead "are in the mix." Could start popping any day. 450 CFS for a week (vs 360 avg).

River is receding (now 1600 CFS) after spiking at 3500 friday (avg. is 450). Can't help fishing. Should stabilize at 450 again around 9/1. Report is not very useful unless you have ESP. Call ahead.

Flows expected to ramp up starting 8/28 to 2650 CFS on 8/30, then back to 450 on 9/1 (could change). Currently 450 CFS (which is avg).

Flows will increase starting 8/28 up to 2650 CFS for Hoopa indian tribe canoe ceremonies, then back to 450 CFS 9/1 (which is the current flow and the avg for this time of year). Best in lewiston fly fishing only section with small mayfly nymphs. Halfpounders, rainbows, browns. Salmon fishing well, if you care.
