"Winter is here and cold temps are forecast for the next week." A few inches of new snow on the ground. West branch murky but floatable at 2200 CFS (vs 300 avg). Try streamers and midges. East branch closed until spring.

East branch now closed; only the no-kill section of the West Branch is open. "Streamers have proven to be effective and there are some small Olives about." "Midges are common all winter as long as rivers remain ice free." 1500 CFS (vs 275 avg).

Conflicting reports on volume of insect activity. West wadeable, down to 480 CFS (which is normal); east still high but flaotable at 850 (vs 230 avg).
