"Check back in late June. Done, done, and done till then."

5/11 -- FAIR

5/8: "It's On! Caddis are out in full force especially in the afternoon. The clarity has improved to nearly 3ft plus. This is the river to be on right now if you want epic dry fly fishing."With the weather forecast we may yet get the best caddis fishing of the year on this river." 5/10: "...for the general angler hoping to 'hit it right', well, sorry, but ya missed it. Age old adage- should have been here yesterday- rings too true."

5/4 -- FAIR

"The river has dropped into a fishable window at about 5800 in Livingston. It came up a little yesterday causing a loss of a little visibility, but it is still fishable. Big streamers is the name of the game right now." "While you’re waiting on the caddis, you may as well get out and fish. The fishing was good on the Yellowstone River again yesterday and things should be just as good, or better, this weekend."

3/16 -- GOOD

3/9 -- VERY GOOD

"Fishing reports from over the weekend over here were good to excellent and nearly everyone we talked to was pitching some bigger junk in hopes of finding some bigger fish."

11/11 -- POOR

Generally closed until Memorial Day or mid-July, and possibly unfishable until July. We will not report on the Yellowstone until some time next spring or early summer.

11/4 -- GOOD

Streamers, nymphs. Avoid spawning beds in side channels. Snow expected friday and saturday. 2000 CFS (vs 1700 avg).

10/28 -- FAIR

2200 CFS (vs 1800 avg). Low temps in the 20's, chance of snow next monday. No new reports.

10/25 -- FAIR

Snow setting in. Goodbye hatches -- soon, if not already. BWO's. Streamers. Whitefish bite > trout bite. 2400 CFS (vs 1900 avg). 'Fair' may be a generous rating.

10/21 -- FAIR

"Fading fast...The next cold spell will kill [grand canyon] stretch for the year". Black canyon may hold out until 11/6 closure. PM streamers. BWO's, midges. 2500 CFS (vs 1900 avg).
